This newly renovated property offers elegant and spacious accommodation. Although the house itself, being centuries old, has a charm of its own, the interior is exquisitely appointed, with a clever juxtaposition of contemporary and rustic.

Downstairs the kitchen offers plenty of space, leading straight into an equally generous sized dining area.  A comfortable sitting room with smart TV, and wood burning fire, completes the ground floor.

Upstairs a beautifully appointed bedroom with a 6ft bed and loft ceiling provides all the comfort you would need for a good night’s sleep. The luxurious 4-piece bathroom, with roll-top bath and large shower, finished with bold colours, has delightful West-facing views.

Outside, leading directly from the kitchen is a spacious raised terrace with seating, on which to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea. Additionally the house offers a lawned area, set below the drive,  with stunning views of the river Dee and the hills beyond - a perfect spot to enjoy a summer’s bbq, or just lap up the beauty of the scenery.

As its name suggests, the Lodge is the “Gatehouse” to the Crogen estate, and to that extent is on the road. This is, however, a minor B-road, and our guests have reported that they have not been disturbed  by the light traffic,

The house can accommodate 4 people, with the additional two using the 4’6” sofa bed in the sitting room.
