"During a wedding venue reconnaissance mission we stumbled upon Crogen Estate by accident, and what a happy accident. From the moment we cleared the unassuming gate house and turned the sweep of the drive we knew we had found a very special place. We were made immediately welcome by a host of Robertson family members and dogs. Crogen Estate is simply the most wonderful place to host a wedding. The house and grounds are beautiful and meticulously kept but remain surprisingly unimposing and homely. This is due, in no small part, to the genuine warmth and professionalism of the entire Robertson family and ‘Crogen team’. If the words “wedding package” bring you out in a cold sweat then it is likely Crogen Estate will appeal to you. Crogen Estate allows you the flexibility to plan a unique event to your particular specifications. This holistic approach is inevitably coupled with a heavy and sustained work load for the bride and groom (or bride, lets be realistic). This is where Griff (Crogen Estate’s Marketing Manager, Wedding Planner and all round lifesaver) comes into her own. From day one Griff provided practical help, advice, support, sourcing and logistics with the energy of a primary school playground and the efficiency of German engineering. In the run up to our wedding and on the day itself the Crogen Team, including the delightful and entrepreneurial Robertson (grownup) children, could not do enough for us. It really was all hands on deck; military precision with a smile. The care, energy and attention to detail from everybody involved was deeply touching and I can’t stress enough what an integral part of the wedding this was. Large numbers of our family descended on Crogen Estate in readiness for the wedding. A diverse range of accommodation is available all of which are spacious, tasteful and well maintained. Our guests, without exception, were delighted with their stay and the entire experience. The outstanding quality of products and services provided by Crogen Estate really makes it excellent value for money. There is also no corkage fee! In short Crogen Estate is a far cry from the conveyor belt of ‘stately home’ wedding venues. It is a family home, with a big heart, which opens its doors to couples looking for something a little bit special. When you love what you do, you make a good job of it and this is why Crogen Estate works on every level."

"Crogen is one of North Wales hidden treasures. With a 360 view of stunning scenery there really isn't anywhere more romantic to get married in North Wales...and believe me we saw it all! Having trawled from one wedding venue to the other we were starting to think we'd never find our perfect venue. It's true what 'they say' when you know... you know and within the first 5 min of setting foot on the estate 'We knew'! Crogen is a place loved by the people who live and work there and we soon fell in love with its rich history and elegance ourselves. Sarah and Griff (Crogen’s Griff!) made us feel more than welcome, it was their kindness and warmth that really sold us on Crogen. They made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and that our hopes and wishes were their first priority. Our guests were blown away by how unique and beautiful Crogen is and everyone commented on what a warm welcome they received. It really did feel like 'our place' for the whole weekend. We had the most lovely and relaxed day, full of happiness, fun and a real sense of love all perpetuated by the ease of dealing with Griff and Sarah and their commitment to making our day special. The organisaton of Griff and Sarah made the whole process easy and were a joy to work alongside. The use of the Coach House made the weekend even more special, with close family being able to stay on the estate."

"Craig and I were looking for something a little different for our wedding. Craig wanted it to be a more relaxed intimate occasion whereas I wanted it to still be magical. When I first saw Crogen Hall it was exactly what we were looking for, it was perfect. All our close friends, family & the dog came and stayed with us in the Coach House, we had a BBQ on the Thursday night altogether and it was lovely, so relaxing! On the Friday the wedding preparations began. Craig and all the men stayed in the comfy living room, playing cards whilst the girls and I took to the main bedroom for a girlie sleepover. It was exactly what we had both wished for. The Saturday morning arrived and we were so lucky with the weather. The whole day was absolutely perfect. It was so relaxed: everyone was drinking Pimms on the lawn whilst the kids were running freely around in all the open space. It was such a nice feeling the next day to know that we didn't have to check out in the morning and we could carry on the celebrations an extra night. Most of the wedding party stayed with us and we enjoyed a big family feast. Leading up to the wedding Griff and Sarah were fantastic, anything I needed help with, they were there. By the time the wedding day arrived I felt as though they were more friends than anything else. Also, Sarah's daughter helped out by entertaining all of the children. They all loved her and still today say how nice she was. We are so happy that we decided to have our wedding at Crogen Hall, it was a magical weekend, one of which we will never forget. Crogen Hall is a very special place."

"After visiting a number of typical wedding venues, we were becoming frustrated with the conveyer belt mentality at many venues. Crogen Estate was a breath of fresh air; it allowed us to have a wedding in truly stunning grounds for the entire weekend and each and every element of the wedding was decided by us with the help of Sarah and Griff. Crogen Estate is a spectacular location for a wedding and our guests echoed this testament throughout the weekend. The Coach House was a fantastic place for our family to stay while the ceremony room was romantic and intimate. When not “getting married”, we had a BBQ in the Coach House garden on the evening before the wedding. On the morning of the wedding, our guests and we were enjoying the sunshine while the children played in the river. Everyone had an unforgettable time, thank you to Sarah and Griff for making our wedding weekend more wonderful than we could have possibly imagined."

"Thank you so much for all you did to make our wedding weekend so special. From the moment we arrived at Crogen for our first look around we knew we had to hold our wedding reception there. The scenery was breathtaking and you were so welcoming. When we got engaged we decided that we wanted our wedding to be unique and totally reflective of us, not a package which has been repeated time and again. That is exactly what we got at Crogen. You were so supportive and accommodating of all our ideas and we never felt like anything was too much trouble before, during and after the big day. In fact the whole family went above and beyond the call of duty with Henry staying up until 2am to ensure the perfect lighting rig up, Sarah and Leah answering endless emails and making endless cups of tea for the marquee crew, the kids lugging around gazebos and boxes of wine on quad bikes, and of course Bumble the dog being on hand for a calming cuddle for the bride on the wedding morning to name just a few of your wonderful efforts. So many of our guests have said that it was "the best wedding ever" in the "most beautiful location". We have also had lots of enquiries from friends and family about hiring the Coach House for various celebrations of their own which is a testament to how welcome everybody felt. Being able to have our wedding party staying with us in the Coach House leading up to the wedding was particularly special and we were all sad to leave. The Coach House and gardens are the most incredible environment for the celebration, and allowed us to feel that we could really host the wedding ourselves. It is very personal, unique and special. And the wedding registration in the main house was intimate, beautiful, and a gorgeous, peaceful setting."

We hired the 8 bedroom lodge and held our wedding on a marquee adjacent to the lodge and all of our guests were amazed! The venue is truly magnificent and if you are looking for something different then I think you have found it at Crogen Estate…. The fact that you can host your own wedding here and save a fortune over hotel fees is something else.
